FrogPatch Paper & Works, an inclusive, woman-owned paper and stationery shop with gallery space, is focused on supporting emerging artists across all mediums and genres. Their growth from a mobile business to brick-and-mortar has given them deep insight into the needs of new and upcoming artists. Being a successful artist is about more than just the art — obtaining business licenses, preparing works for sale, and connecting with other creatives are all critical steps, which can be confusing and difficult to navigate when just starting out.

FrogPatch is proud to announce the addition of two new artists in residence as of April 2026: Beau Boaro and Ana V. Ramirez! This brings the number of artists in the growing collective to over 17, with big plans for future expansion.

Beau Boaro

Beau is a fabric artist and business owner, creating vibrant fabric portraits of animals and people. They describe their art as a cross between collage and quilting. “I use fabric the way a painter uses daubs of paint,” Beau says. “Instead of a paint palette, I create a palette of fabrics and then build an image using small pieces of fabric that are adhered to a background pattern. I finish by fusing everything together and adding final details with thread.”

Beau says that they enjoy discussing the intricacies of the artistic process, and want to inspire people through their work. “The art I make is about inspiring awe, wonder, and joy. I want to capture and distill these emotions in color and pattern.”

Beau will be in attendance at the studio from 10:30am – 2:30pm, Thursday through Sunday. Pop in for a chat during those times, or schedule a studio visit at www.beausartshop.com.

Ana V. Ramirez

Ana is a veteran fine art photographer with over 17 years experience, but new to the art world as a cyanotype and collage artist. Ana chose to move her studio space to Downtown Kennewick so her collages could literally "go beyond her kitchen counter." Her new studio space gives her regular access to walk-in customers, and moves her closer to friends and like-minded creatives. Ana says, "As an introvert, I didn't realize how much I needed people, until I came here."

Ana will usually be in attendance at the studio during FrogPatch's regular hours: Thursday – Saturday 10:30am – 5:30pm, and Sunday 10:30am – 2:30pm.

Owner Malaura Bricker with her daughter, Melanie Bricker-May
