Hay raíces que no se pueden arrancar. Este proyecto nace de esa convicción.

Para los amantes de la historia, de las raíces que no se alejan de nuestra memoria ni de nuestra sangre, Alcon Media, en conjunto con el Centro de la Dignidad y Producciones Klaindastino Kors LLC, desde enero de 2026 comenzó la producción masiva de una campaña que busca enaltecer y celebrar las raíces indígenas de todas las naciones del continente americano.

Estas producciones de audio se han transmitido en las estaciones de radio de Alcon Media LLC: La Ranchera 104.5 FM y 106.9 FM; Radio Lobo 99.5 FM y 99.5 HD; La Gran X 104.9 y 94.1 FM, cubriendo toda el área de Eastern Washington y Oregon: al norte limitando con Moses Lake, al sur con Pendleton, Oregon, al oeste en el valle de Yakima y al este en Walla Walla. Esto, con la ilusión de llegar a las comunidades latinas e hispanas de la región, así como a las nuevas generaciones.

Estos audios son una narrativa amena producida por distintas voces de artistas mexicanos y colombianos que forman parte del colectivo de Klaindastino Kors LLC y que, con mucho cariño, grabaron las historias de todas las culturas mesoamericanas a lo largo de los siglos. Cuentan la historia de los mexicas, mayas, olmecas, quechuas, purépechas, incas, mapuches y muchas otras naciones que forman parte de nuestra riqueza cultural e histórica.

La intención de Alcon Media en este grandioso proyecto es enorgullecer y remarcar la grandeza de nuestras raíces, en una época donde se nos ha vendido y hemos comprado —como Aureliano Buendía en Cien años de soledad, que algún día compró imanes para encontrar oro— la idea de que solo la grandeza venía del eurocentrismo y, por ende, que nada que no provenga de Europa puede ser valioso o siquiera existir.

Buscamos que este proyecto llegue a los oídos de nuestros escuchas de radio y a los jóvenes que crecen y nacen aquí, con un sentido de pertenencia lastimado por la división cultural. Pretendemos que sientan la grandeza de los descubrimientos científicos, los desarrollos políticos y las costumbres que iban más allá de lo conocido. Anhelamos retomar lo desconocido.

Para llegar a formar 300 audios rellenos de historia, nos dimos a la tarea de leer, estudiar y redactar libros de historia, entre ellos los libros de historia de la actual Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) de México, los actuales libros que contienen un acercamiento y enseñanza de estos temas como nunca se había hecho en la historia.

Queremos agradecer a la Secretaría de Educación de México, que nos proporcionó estos libros. También un agradecimiento y un enorme reconocimiento a Alejandra Ornelas Alcantar, mi mentora, egresada de la UDG (Universidad de Guadalajara), mi redactora a lo largo de mi carrera y mi madre, quien me adopto por alguna razón cuando tenía 16 años y a quien le dedico este proyecto, y quien lamentablemente dejó de acompañarnos en vida el mes de marzo de 2026 por complicaciones de salud. Q. E. P. D.

Gracias a su talento de redacción y su incansable trabajo y fe en mis locuras, se encargó de ajustar los escritos para hacerlos atractivos a nuestra audiencia de radio, y también para en un futuro adaptarlos a redes sociales.

A partir de este mes ya podrán escuchar la segunda parte de audios: 150 más, donde podrán encontrar más historia, más orgullo y cosas por las cuales redescubrirán la enorme importancia de no dejar morir en el olvido nuestra grandeza, raíz y cultura.

Por favor, pasen la voz, ayúdenos a llegar a más gente y, si existe algún tema que les gustaría escuchar en la radio, no duden en hacérnoslo saber. Siempre que la misión sea dignificar, estaremos abiertos a más temas.

There are roots that cannot be pulled out. The ‘Cultura y Raíz’ project (meaning ‘Culture and Roots’) is born from that conviction.

For lovers of history, of the roots that do not stray from our memory nor from our blood, Alcon Media, together with the Center of Dignity and Producciones Klaindastino Kors LLC, began in January 2026 the massive production of a campaign that seeks to exalt and celebrate the Indigenous roots of all the nations of the American continent.

These audio productions have been broadcast on the radio stations of Alcon Media LLC: La Ranchera 104.5 FM and 106.9 FM, Radio Lobo 99.5 FM and 99.5 HD, and La Gran X 104.9 and 94.1 FM. These stations cover the entire area of Eastern Washington and Oregon — to the north bordering Moses Lake, to Pendleton in the south, to the west in the Yakima Valley, and to the east in Walla Walla. We do this with the hope of reaching the Latino and Hispanic communities of the region, as well as the new generations living here.

This Cultura y Raíz project, which has more than 300 audio productions and a series of videos that you will find on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-Hy_-UQ-NI), is part of the larger movement ‘Siente Orgullo por tu Raíz’ (Feel Proud of Your Roots). These audio segments contain narratives produced by different voices of Mexican and Colombian artists who are part of the collective of Klaindastino Kors LLC and who, with much affection, recorded the stories of Mesoamerican cultures throughout the centuries. They tell the history of the Mexicas, Mayas, Olmecs, Quechuas, Purepechas, Incas, Mapuches, and many other nations that are part of our cultural and historical richness.

The intention of Alcon Media in this great project is to make proud and highlight the greatness of our roots, in an era where we have been sold and we have bought, like Aureliano Buendía in One Hundred Years of Solitude, who one day bought magnets to find gold. We reject the idea that only greatness came from Eurocentrism and, therefore, that nothing that does not come from Europe can be valuable or even exist.

We seek for this project to reach the ears of our radio listeners and the young people who grow up and are born here, with their sense of belonging stripped away by cultural division. We intend for them to feel the greatness of their ancestors’ scientific discoveries, political developments, and customs that went beyond what was known. We long to retake the unknown.

To get to form 300 audio segments filled with history, we set ourselves the task of reading, studying, and writing. We studied history books, among them the history books up to the current Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) of Mexico, the books that contain an approach and teaching of these themes as had never been done in history.

We want to thank the Secretariat of Education of Mexico, which provided us with these books. Also a thank you and an enormous recognition to Alejandra Ornelas Alcantar, my mentor, graduate of the UDG (University of Guadalajara), my favorite writer throughout my career, and my mother, who adopted me for some reason when I was 16 years old and to whom I dedicate this project, and who unfortunately stopped accompanying us in life in the month of March 2026 due to health complications. Ulises Navarro es el director de operaciones de Alcon Media, LLC, donde combina su pasión por las operaciones de los medios con su dedicación a la justicia social, el folklore y el periodismo independiente. También es el presidente de klaindastino kors. Originario de Guadalajara, México, es un filósofo y escritor autodidacta que emigró a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 21 años, trabajando inicialmente como agricultor en los campos de Washington y Oregón. Fue allí donde nació su deseo de lucha social por los derechos de los migrantes. Ulises recibió el premio BFT del Salón de la Fama del Transporte Público por su informe “Sobre la inclusión en el transporte público”. Ahora trabaja en muchos proyectos informativos y educativos, incluido El Centro de la Dignidad.

Ulises Navarro is the Chief Operating Officer of Alcon Media, LLC, where he combines his passion for media operations with his dedication to social justice, folklore, and independent journalism. He is also the president of klaindastino kors. Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, he is a self-taught philosopher and writer who migrated to the United States at the age of 21, working initially as a farmer in the fields of Washington and Oregon. It was there where his desire for social struggle for the rights of migrants was born. Ulises received the BFT Public Transportation Hall of Fame Award for his reporting “On Inclusion in Public Transportation”. He now works on many informational and educational projects, including El Centro de la Dignidad.
