Stevie Nicks is a female Border Collie/American Staffordshire Terrier mix born approximately May 2017.

Stevie was found wandering in a field and was injured from what appears to be an attack by a wild animal. She’s all healed up but still waiting in boarding at the vet clinic due to lack of foster home providers. She’s eager to find an adoptive home but would be happy to spend time in a temporary home while she waits for her people to find her.

We don’t know much about Stevie’s history, but we do know she’s astute at basic commands like sit and shake, and she is highly intelligent. She loves to play with squeaky balls and splash in the water, and she’s a talkative girl. Stevie seems eager to get to know people and other dogs, but once they show interest she can sometimes shy away and become insecure. She would do well with a family who will continue with her training and exposure to new situations so she can be the best dog she can be. We do not know how she would do with cats.

Her forever home will require a secure, 6-foot fence with adults or a combination of adults and children over five. You can find adoption applications at www.mikeyschance.com, and if you’re interested in fostering, click Become a Foster (under the Support Us tab)!
