Hello all you beautiful souls!
I'm April Augustine. I am a Black woman, born and raised in Pasco, Washington. Growing up, i was always aware of our small, Black-owned businesses and organizations that supported our local African American community. As the world gets smaller, we have the opportunity to buy goods and services from all around the globe. But we need to remember our family, friends, and neighbors who own local businesses, for they are the real backbone of our community. So let’s get back to supporting local.
This is a list of local Black-owned businesses and community organizations focused on the betterment of our Black community. This list was created from the many lists people within our community have kept over the years. We thank them for their diligence to support and provide information on resources to new Tri-Citians. We reached out to those we added to the historic list and the new businesses to ensure they wanted to be a part of if it. We encourage submissions of new Black-owned businesses and organizations!
Let’s keep adding new businesses and increasing our footprint in our community. This is a living list that will be updated on a monthly basis to continuously encourage supporting our local Black businesses and organizations! Submit new additions or updates to 4IGTSW@gmail.com.
Sign up for email updates to the Black Owned Business and Orgs list by emailing 4IGTSW@gmail.com. THANK YOU to those who have asked for or volunteered to be listed on our local African American/Black Businesses and Community Orgs list!
