So much is happening all at once right now.

Our democracy is being dismantled (pg 37), local former patients of an OB-GYN are coming forward about their horrific experiences (pg 32), and ICE overreach continues to destroy lives (pg 38).

At the same time, performing arts programs are coming back to Pasco schools (pg 18), local organizations are centering the needs in their communities (pg 10), and many people are reconnecting with the arts and with the natural world (pg 5, 8, 28).

I try to always suggest places you can get involved, but this time, I want you to look. We have plenty of suggested reading and listening in almost all of our communications. Maybe if you do the work of looking for them, you'll be more likely to read/listen to them.

idk... but maybe.

About the cover

Domestic Surrealism by Anna Britton

Domestic Surrealism is an acrylic on canvas painting representing the disconcerting feeling of moving from your long-established home to somewhere new. Normal, everyday life takes on a surreal quality, as everything seems somehow distant and unnerving, even if it is in many ways similar.

As an artist who often seeks to explore everyday life in expressionistic ways, I aim to capture the complex emotions that are enshrined in life’s mundanity. My portraiture can be found for sale in the Tri-Cities and greater Seattle areas. There are updates on where you can find me on my socials.

Wish our friends at El Vuelo Informativo all the best, as they take some time to restructure.
