Recognizing the historic opportunity for voters in the newly established 14th Legislative District, in July, a statewide coalition launched new Spanish and English TV ads in support of Democratic Senate candidate Maria Beltran.
New Direction PAC’s TV ads — “¡Adelante!” and “Forward!” — highlight Beltran’s focus on fighting for the people and values of Yakima Valley, Yakama Nation, and Pasco. The ads are airing on Yakima and Tri-Cities television stations in both Spanish and English, raising up the opportunity for new leadership in the Latino-majority district.

Beltran grew up in Yakima as the daughter of immigrant parents who picked crops. She has fought for hard-working families in Yakima and Central Washington through service to nonprofits, as well as in state and local government. Beltran has received endorsements from Progreso Latino, the UFW, Washington State Labor Council, and more than 15 other local organizations; and from Senator Rebecca Saldana, former Yakama Nation Councilmember Asa Washines, and more than 25 other former and current elected leaders.
