Detail from Nature’s kiss upon a shell by Liam Bray

Hey y'all! So yeah, it's the Pride issue 💜

This month (like every month), it would be cool if we all showed up to support communities — the ones we are part of and the ones we aren't — who are marginalized. And when I say marginalized, I mean groups that are oppressed or otherwise pushed into 'otherness' by people with power.

To help us do that, we've added Juneteenth highlights on events that are Black-led and rainbow highlights on events that are welcoming of and/or led by LGBTQIA+ folks. So come out to some of these amazing events in the back of the issue!

About the cover:

Nature’s kiss upon a shell
by Liam Bray

Our shells may be gripped, crushed, painted, twisted, and broken. We may be relocated, viewed as pests or slimy things.

But we are blessed with the divine nature of human imperfection, beauty, and connection. Despite it all, that will always remain.

Despite it all, snails kiss
each other ❤️
