After three and a half months of cleanup and repairs due to the Downtown Kennewick St. Patrick’s Day Fire, Earth Spirit Mystical Boutique has risen from the ashes and reopened their doors to the public!
Earth Spirit has been a fixture in Downtown Kennewick for the last five years, and has come to be a go-to location for unique gifts, crystals, books, candles, and other locally and regionally crafted items. They also host workshops and classes.
On March 17, 2026, Earth Spirit’s owner, Erin Sagadin, had just dropped her sons off at Kennewick High School when she heard sirens. Deciding to drive downtown to check her shop, she was met with a plume of smoke emanating from the 100 block, and discovered Kennewick Fire Department fighting a fire in the building next door. When the fire was finally extinguished, she could see the devastation: soot and smoke from the building next door had filled her shop, destroying nearly all of her inventory, equipment, and supplies.
Over the course of the next three and a half months, Erin and her landlord worked to mitigate the damage and repair the building. Now, Erin has reopened Earth Spirit’s doors to the public, and continues to offer her unique gift items and handcrafted candles. “I am beyond grateful to everyone who has stuck with us and supported us through this closure, and I can’t wait to share all the new and exciting things I’ve done in the shop!” said Erin.
The shop is still stocked with customer favorites, such as their signature house-made candle collections, books, herb bundles, and incense. But Earth Spirit has a lot of new items, as well, including air fresheners in the candle scents, wax melts, and new cards and decks. Erin has also hired three new employees and is excited to introduce them to the community now that the shop has reopened!
