Get ready for an evening of great art and inspiring conversation at The FINCH Hotel, Walla Walla, where local artist LuAnn Ostergaard will hold an artist reception, and present a special exhibition of her work.
LuAnn, who is based in the Pacific Northwest, is known for her evocative, photo-based, mixed-media works that layer memory, history, found objects, and pigment into luminous places of quiet contemplation. Her pieces are collected across the globe, and function in many ways as psychological resting points; they invite viewers to pause, reflect, and allow the layers to reveal themselves.
In this special exhibition, LuAnn will debut new one-of-a-kind collage totems — vertical works that feel both ancient and contemporary. These will stand alongside a limited selection of archival works, showcasing her signature pigment ink technique.
Guests will meet the artist, learn about her process, and experience first-hand how photography, texture, and intuition merge into work that feels timeless.
