The Academy of Children’s Theatre (ACT) is bringing nationally recognized comedy talent from Los Angeles and New York to the Tri-Cities for a special two-day Improv Comedy Weekend on July 10–11, 2026.

The weekend will feature two unique performances and a series of educational workshops led by professional writers and performers whose credits include Broadway’s Oh, Mary!, Our Flag Means Death (HBO), A Black Lady Sketch Show (HBO), Human Resources (Netflix), Good Trouble (Freeform), and Dropout TV.

Designed to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and the joy of live performance, the event offers opportunities for audiences of all ages to experience professional improv comedy right here in the Tri-Cities.

Improv Fundraiser Show (16+)

Saturday evening’s performance serves as a fundraiser supporting ACT’s educational programming. Geared toward audiences ages 16 and older, the show will feature fast-paced improv, comedy games, and unforgettable unscripted moments from some of today’s most exciting performers and writers.

In addition to the performances, the visiting artists will lead workshops throughout the weekend, offering local students, performers, educators, and community members a chance to learn the fundamentals of improvisation, storytelling, collaboration, and stage confidence from working professionals in the entertainment industry.

"This weekend is about bringing world-class comedy and arts education to our community,” said Zackery Stephens, Executive Director of ACT. “We’re excited to connect local audiences and students with artists who are actively working in television, theater, and comedy while creating a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved.”
