STORYWRITERS of the Tri-Cities presents a panel of local authors

The public is invited to attend STORYWRITERS of the Tri-Cities’ special panel discussion in the Doris Roberts Gallery at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate, on September 8, 2025, from 1:15pm – 2:45

The panel will feature candid storytelling and insights from established local authors; a moderated discussion on writing, publishing, and the purpose behind storytelling; and time for an audience Q&A. There will also be plenty of opportunities to connect with other writers, readers, and creatives.

“We’re gathering some of the region’s most meaningful voices,” says STORYWRITERS co-founder Mickey Hunacek. “Their stories remind us that healing, identity, and impact often begin with words on a page.”

Guest panelists:

  • Patricia Briggs: Based in the Tri-Cities, Patricia Briggs is a #1 New York Times bestselling fantasy author who has written more than 50 books. She is best known for her popular Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega series, which are widely acclaimed for their strong female characters and intricate urban fantasy worlds.
  • Michele Stenehjem Gerber, Ph.D: A respected historian from Richland, Michele Stenehjem Gerber is the author of On the Home Front: The Cold War Legacy of the Hanford Nuclear Site, and Witness to Addiction: My Son's Journey
