Welcome to another pick-a-card reading! I could not get around to putting one together for you all last month, so I hope this one offers you some good encouragement to make up for lost time. The focus of this month is what requires a little extra attention, encouragement, and support.

Take a few moments to center yourself with some deep breaths, and ask yourself to be guided to the message meant for you. You can be drawn to more than one! To find your message, you can see which of the provided images you are drawn to, which number (1, 2, or 3), use a pendulum, or just see which section you feel pulled into reading. As always, this is just a starting point of reflection, and I highly recommend journaling and following up regularly.

Card One

Those that are drawn to this card received the Queen of Cups reversed as their message. The Queen of Cups is a very emotionally abundant card with so many beautiful lessons. She carries compassion, heart-led decisions, and intuition that hits the mark often. When this card appears in reverse, it can indicate a challenge when it comes to handling life’s stressors. This queen may snap, bottle things up, and repress their emotional needs. These issues can even impact how this queen connects to her intuition, and to others. Emotional burnout is something to watch out for with this card!

It is important to look after your emotional and spiritual wellbeing right now. You may have noticed yourself ‘slipping’ a little more often lately, and the pressure is going to be building. You will be put in a position that requires you to prioritize regulating and balancing yourself so that you can do all the amazingly important things you are setting out to do! This is not a bad card to get; in fact, this can be a very emotionally rich time for you, if you embrace the lessons it brings.

You have learned a lot when it comes to managing your emotional and spiritual self, and while you may think you could be regressing, you should know that you are not. This is a tough spot, but with a little care and balance, you will be back to yourself in no time. Avoid emotionally-charged conversations until you have had time to reset. Your biggest risk is putting your foot in your mouth and saying things you regret.

Card Two

The Four of Pentacles is about conservation, savings, and taking a measured approach. The Pentacles rule the practical and logistical aspects of our lives such as money, careers, projects, home, family, and time/energy. The Four of Pentacles usually arrives as a messenger, telling you to take things slow and steady, and to think with our logic instead of our immediate impulses. It warns against letting “saving up” turn into hoarding or greed, but invites us to prepare for the future and to take the next steps with care.

If you have been stuck lately, this card can help you very slowly get out of that rut. Tend to your resources carefully. Do not spend them (time, energy, or money) too carelessly right now. This card is moderation and careful consideration, so it is also important to not become too rigid with your conservation, or feed too much energy into past financial trauma.

The good news is that this moment can start to help you slowly get out of where you have been feeling trapped! However, it is not uncommon for at least one more practical challenge to pop up before the greater progress is made, so prepare without panicking.

Card Three

The Ten of Swords is a tough card, and it brings a bittersweet message. The Swords rule our mind, communication, and challenges. This card typically arrives when someone is feeling extremely burnt out, hurt, stressed, and exhausted. Many people see this card when they have been struggling more than usual with emotional and mental pain. Getting this card does not invite more of this frustration into our lives; it instead is letting us know that things may be reaching their emotional peak, and that healing is going to begin soon. As a ten, it is at the end of the cycle.

If you have things in your life that have felt like an endless cycle, this card has great potential to be a good thing, if embraced and cared for. The swords are being removed and you no longer have to carry them in your heart, but now the long road of healing begins. As many of us know, healing can often be the hardest part, especially if you have grown accustomed to the burdens you carry. As a card of communication, remember that you do not need to go through this part of your journey alone.

While only you can be the driver of your healing, there are many who can offer support through this process for you. Soon, it will get a lot easier. It is hard because you are finally facing it, and you should be incredibly proud of yourself.
