STORYWRITERS of the Tri-Cities

In September 2022, a group of friends created STORYWRITERS of the Tri-Cities to be a space for authors to encourage and inspire each other. On the second Monday of each month, they meet at the Richland Public Library to discuss their work and view presentations by a variety of speakers.

Previous presenters include college professors, poets, novelists, and nonfiction writers, and more. They have covered a large array of topics including outlining and drafting your project, developing your character, engaging the reader’s senses, and getting published.

The group is open to the public at no charge and invites authors of all genres to attend and participate in monthly writing prompts surrounding a central theme. Participants may share their work — either group ‘homework’ or their current project — and request critique. The group encourages writers to submit their work to contests and publishers, and celebrates them for rising to the challenge, even if the work is rejected.

Everyone has a story to tell! Join STORYWRITERS and get inspired to write yours!
