Contemporary folk rock duo to perform at The Emerald of Siam on June 18

Cynthia Brando and Ed Tree are bringing their contemporary folk rock sound to The Emerald of Siam’s ‘Tuesday Acoustic Nights’. Hailing from Los Angeles, Cynthia is on a two-week tour with her brand new album, Sidelines.

“I wanted to take my music dream seriously and at almost 40, moved to Los Angeles from the woods of Humboldt County, California. I came out with my first album in 2018 and continuously toured until COVID hit. I had other challenges that caused me to step away from touring for a while, and am excited to finally be back on the road after five years — with a new record, doing what I love. My entire family lives a few hours away from Richland, and this will be my first time here. I am honored to perform at such a place of musical esteem as The Emerald of Siam, and happy to have Ed Tree accompanying me with his amazing lead guitar. He also engineered and co-produced my new album.”

Cynthia Brando and Ed Tree are a Los Angeles acoustic folk rock duo. Cynthia has played notable shows at House of Blues in Hollywood, and in music festivals and tours across the country. She has received multiple honorable mentions for her music in the Songdoor International Songwriting Competition; and in 2017, she received an honorable mention in the American Songwriter magazine Lyric Contest. In 2019, American Songwriter magazine gave Cynthia an honorable mention in their Bob Dylan cover song contest, which produced the viral video, “Things Have Changed”. Cynthia also received first place in the singing category in 2022 in the Topanga Banjo and Fiddle contest.

Ed Tree has produced hundreds of albums, including two top five Billboard Blues chart releases, and has recorded and/or toured the world with Spencer Davis, Rita Coolidge, Al Stewart, Juice Newton, Booker T. Jones, and others. He has played the New Orleans Jazz Fest and The Grand Ole Opry (with his band The Bum Steers) and had his songs on the Top 40 Billboard Country chart with a number one song in Europe.

Ed Tree’s superb guitar playing with Cynthia’s powerhouse vocals and strong rhythmic sense all come together to create a unique sound that truly captivates.
